Turbo diesel, manual, bench seat with a blanket over it. Apparently it runs, but hasn’t been insured since 2003.

Kinja'd!!!

I don’t think it’s for sale, but I want it...somehow, it seems to have escaped road salt, the rear fenders aren’t rusty at all. It’s a bit beat, but definitely not rotted.

Kinja'd!!!

The right rear wheels seems to be at a strange angle, as is the box, but maybe that’s because it’s parked on an uneven surface? Or maybe it’s a bit broken, I dunno.

Kinja'd!!!

I haven’t thought much about these, but every time I see this one, I want it.

Aesthetically, this is my favorite generation F-Series.

That body line discrepancy might be a cab mount issue (common on trucks of this vintage, especially GM C/Ks). Kinda looks like a tree might have fallen on the front, too.

Mine too, but mostly because I grew up riding in my grandpas

As far as I know, the poor thing has been sitting in that grass for 4 years or so now. I kind of want to save it, but I don’t know if my aunt and uncle will let go of it, even though they’re just letting it sit.

It does, Urambo Tauro thinks it might be a cab mount issue

Cab mounts were the first thing I thought of too.

Being the owner of a ‘97 F-250HD (identical body style), I can confirm that the alignment of the bed and cab is easily skewed just by parking it on an uneven surface. The driver side rear tire is sitting on higher ground, jacking the frame and bed. It’s normal, though I don’t know if I’d want to park the truck like that for years at a time.

Oh well that’s good to know, hopefully they move it sometimes....apparently they use it as a backup truck for their ‘03 F350 diesel, but I’ve never seen it move, unless they park it in exactly the same place whenever they use it.

Do you know what year it is? The later ‘94-97 ones had the Navistar T444E turbodiesel, a lot more power than the earlier International IDI 7.3s.

It says turbo diesel on the side, so that probably means it’s at least a ‘94? Unless the IDI ones got turbos as well

Does it say Powerstroke? That’s what Ford labeled the Navistar engine. If not, it’s probably got the older IDI turbodiesel.

edit: just zoomed in on the high rest photo, I think it’s a ‘92, ‘93 or early ‘94 with the IDI.

Well at least it has major reliability going for it, at least from what I’ve heard of the old 7.3s

I just looked it up, they didn’t offer a turbo on the IDI until ‘93 so the truck has to be a ‘93 or early ‘94.
